Huadong Coating Participates in the “Step into Shenjian: Design Empowerment” Exchange and Seminar Event
2026-11-07
To strengthen cross-industry technical exchange and promote technical communication and project cooperation in the fields of building envelopes and planning consultancy, the “Visiting Shenjian — Empowering Design” exchange seminar, organized by the Building Envelope Specialized Committee and the Planning, Development and Project Consulting Specialized Committee of the Shanghai Construction Association, was successfully held on the afternoon of November 5, 2026, at Shanghai Shenjian Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd. Suzhou Huadong Coating Technology Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Dongyu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. actively participated in the event.

This event brought together corporate leaders, technical experts, and managers from numerous member organizations. Focusing on industry hot topics such as enhancing the quality of architectural doors, windows, and curtain walls; applications in waterproofing and thermal insulation projects; practical uses of new building materials; design‑led EPC contracting; full‑process engineering consulting; and urban renewal, the program featured company presentations, case studies, technical discussions, and roundtable networking. Participants gained valuable insights from Shanghai Shenjian Engineering Design Institute’s experience in multidisciplinary end‑to‑end services, design‑driven full‑process engineering consulting, design‑led EPC, urban renewal initiatives, and innovative AI‑powered design applications. The event also included in‑depth discussions on Hongkou District’s urban renewal efforts and mechanisms for collaborative design and project matchmaking among member firms, establishing an effective communication bridge between building material companies and design institutes to align design requirements with material solutions.

At the event, Deputy General Manager Wang Xiaochen delivered a speech drawing on the company’s business experience and the current state of industry development. She shared insights on areas including full‑process collaboration in construction projects, the practical application of innovative building materials—such as East China Company’s ultra‑resistant self‑explosion‑proof glass and long‑lasting 4SG insulated glass—and the implementation of urban renewal initiatives. She noted that the construction industry is accelerating its transition toward green and digital practices. As the building envelope system is critical to achieving energy efficiency and safety, it places higher demands on advanced materials like specialty glass. Companies must leverage technological innovation, strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration, and actively explore integrated development pathways across design, engineering, and building materials. At the same time, she called on all stakeholders in the industry to deepen exchanges, streamline resource channels, engage in joint design and co‑development of projects, and achieve complementary advantages for mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the exchange and discussion session, our representatives engaged in extensive interaction with peers and experts from design institutes, sharing views on challenges in project management and obstacles to technology implementation. Key discussions focused on selecting and adapting high-performance glass for curtain wall and window systems, urban renewal projects, and EPC general contracting initiatives, as well as on technical integration and project execution, leading to targeted resource‑matching negotiations. This event established a robust platform for industry communication, enabling us to learn from best practices, gain first-hand insights into design institutes’ project requirements and technical priorities, and showcase our corporate development vision and advancements in high-performance glass technologies. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen cross‑industry collaboration, actively participate in innovation forums, and deepen synergistic partnerships with design firms and engineering contractors. By introducing innovative building materials, we aim to elevate the quality of building envelope systems and collectively drive high‑quality growth across the building envelope and engineering consulting sectors.
