In 2023, the company constructed a new intelligent production workshop that required 8,000 square meters of high‑performance glass—material that not only delivers the high light transmittance essential for precision instrument fabrication but also offers excellent thermal insulation and durability to support the workshop’s constant‑temperature environmental control needs.

Solution:

In response to Changfeng Electric’s requirements, Huadong Coating has customized a high‑performance 4SG insulated glass solution featuring ultra‑clear double‑silver coating and long‑lasting sealing. This product combines 10 mm tempered LOW‑E‑HDDU‑N70‑S20#2 glass with 10 mm ultra‑clear tempered glass, assembled using the 12Ar (G) TPS/4SG sealing technology. The ultra‑clear glass substrate boosts light transmittance to 92%, while the double‑silver LOW‑E coating blocks more than 75% of infrared radiation. The 4SG sealing process ensures the glass maintains stable performance over a wide temperature range, from –40°C to 80°C, meeting the stringent demands of precision manufacturing environments in the workshop.

Project Outcomes:

Following the implementation of this collaboration, Changfeng Electric’s new workshop has achieved three significant improvements: first, daylighting efficiency has increased by 30%, reducing daytime lighting energy consumption; second, the summer air-conditioning load in the workshop has been cut by 25%, resulting in annual electricity cost savings exceeding RMB 120,000; and third, since the glass was installed, there have been no instances of condensation or fogging, with wind‑pressure resistance meeting the stringent requirements for typhoon‑prone coastal regions.
