To promote the spirit of craftsmanship and inspire enterprise employees to pursue technical excellence and enhance their skills, the first “Trade Union Cup” Skills Competition of Taihu Subdistrict recently concluded successfully. Hosted by the Taihu Subdistrict Trade Union Committee of Wuzhong District, the event was themed “Refining Craftsmanship, Ushering in a New Era with Intelligence,” drawing skilled professionals from numerous local enterprises to compete on the same stage.

The competition consisted of two stages: a theoretical exam and a practical skills challenge. Throughout the event, fairness, impartiality, and transparency were strictly upheld. The judging panel was composed of representatives from the Wuzhong District Federation of Trade Unions, the Taihu Subdistrict Trade Union, and the participating enterprises, ensuring the credibility and authority of the results. On January 12, Ge Weiqiang took part in a timed, 60-minute written examination and successfully passed, demonstrating his thorough command of professional knowledge. In the practical skills round on January 13, he delivered an outstanding performance under pressure, handled unexpected situations appropriately, and showcased both strong professional ethics and exceptional technical proficiency.

Ge Weiqiang’s award this time not only showcases his outstanding personal skills but also serves as a vivid demonstration of the Group’s commitment to talent development and its dedication to fostering the spirit of craftsmanship.
