As a key industrial platform for the region, the Xiangcheng (Huangqiao) Biomanufacturing Industrial Park focuses on sectors such as biopharmaceuticals and medical devices, imposing stringent requirements on the energy efficiency, safety, and environmental compatibility of its buildings. In the park’s master plan, numerous glass curtain walls must balance light transmittance with thermal insulation while also meeting the specialized needs of biological laboratories for stable temperature control.

Solution:

In response to the industrial park’s core requirements, Huadong Coating customized a single‑silver insulated glass solution for its 2023 collaboration: 6 mm tempered glass + 12A (G) + 6 mm white tempered glass. This configuration leverages a Low‑E coating to effectively block infrared radiation, reducing heat exchange between indoors and outdoors, while the 12A air gap enhances thermal insulation, cutting air-conditioning energy consumption by more than 30%. The double‑tempered glass ensures superior impact resistance and safety, meeting the industrial park’s long‑term operational needs.

Project Outcomes:

Following the implementation of the collaboration, 12,000 square meters of custom‑designed glass have been fully deployed across the park’s R&D building, production workshops, and supporting facilities. Real‑world monitoring indicates that the glass curtain walls keep indoor temperature fluctuations within ±2°C, providing a stable environment for precision experiments; meanwhile, the high light transmittance ensures ample natural daylight, reducing energy consumption from artificial lighting. According to the industrial park’s management, this solution not only meets the specific requirements of biomanufacturing applications but also helps the park achieve green building standards, laying a solid infrastructural foundation for future tenant attraction and industrial clustering.
