East China Coated Glass Attends to Share Shanghai Tai’s Overseas Expansion Experience

Recently, the Shanghai Construction Association hosted a trade‑exchange conference on overseas expansion for the building‑materials sector, focusing on the upgrading of demand in overseas markets such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East, as well as new pathways for cross‑border cooperation. Huadong Coated Glass, a benchmark enterprise in the architectural glass value‑added processing industry, was invited to attend, where it gained in‑depth insights into the collaborative experiences of Shanghai‑based building‑materials firms already operating abroad, thereby injecting fresh momentum into its own internationalization strategy.

At this exchange meeting, Zhong Guoqiang, Director of the Old‑Building Reconstruction Special Committee of the Shanghai Construction Association, shared the outcomes of a September 2025 fact-finding mission to Thailand undertaken by member companies, providing participating enterprises with highly valuable, practical guidance for strategically positioning themselves in the Southeast Asian market. According to reports, the Thai visit was centered on two key pillars—“localizing technological solutions” and “deepening market penetration”—demonstrating the robust capabilities of Shanghai’s building‑materials firms in areas such as technological innovation and standards alignment, as well as their agile adaptability to overseas market demands. During the trip, Chinese companies reached clear intentions for cooperation with Thailand’s Lohkarn Industrial Park and Jinchi Industrial Park, while also receiving enthusiastic responses from local industry leaders including Siam Group and Hua Sheng Real Estate. All parties plan to advance collaborative upgrades across the value chain through technology sharing, production capacity coordination, and other mechanisms, jointly opening up new growth opportunities in both the China–Thailand market and globally.

East China Coating, together with listed company “Gongyuan Pipe Industry,” Japan’s Topcon Sokkia, NVC Lighting, San Ke Shu, and others, shared their experiences and exchanged insights on their respective export operations. Through this conference, participants actively aligned industry resources and conducted in-depth explorations of technical standards and cooperation models tailored to the Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
